Meet Our Donors

Capt. Michael R. Sudzina USMCR

Mike Sudzina knew he wanted to be a Marine.

He enrolled in the PLC program while at Bucknell University and was commissioned at graduation. Following TBS (3-70), he became an artillery officer. He was sent to the 10th Marines at Camp LeJeune, then the 1st Marine Air Wing in Vietnam. He left the Corps after serving in the inactive reserves.

Mike carried the skills, discipline and the pride in something bigger than himself to his civilian life. Said Mike, "The Marine Corps instills confidence that you can do whatever it takes to succeed — and it's expected that you will do so."

Mike's legacy gift is a way to give back.

"Young people need to be exposed to what the Marines do to defend the country and its freedoms and to how this country benefits from the military," he says. "The Museum is a great recruiting tool — I hope it will motivate young people to become Marines. I want the Marine Corps Heritage Foundation to succeed so that it's here to inspire future generations."
