Meet Our Donors

Cpl Martin Johnson

At an early age Martin Johnson became fascinated with the Marines and their exploits. Marty says, "I really admired the Marines, they looked rugged, fit and confident, seeing them made me want to be a Marine – so I enlisted. This was a life-changing decision for me – the Marines taught me lessons that served me well throughout my life and career."

While attending a Marine reunion in Dumfries, VA, Marty visited the site of the new Museum during its construction. "It was this visit, and a visit to the Museum shortly after it opened that convinced both my wife and I that we should become supporters of the Foundation. I am most grateful to all Marines who throughout history have made the Marines –THE MARINES!! I am a proud Marine – thankful to have earned the title Marine – a title which means so much to me. Therefore, we made the MCHF legacy gift pledge to support and preserve the Corps' rich heritage for future generations."
