Meet Our Donors

Charles (Chuck) Chritton

In 1957, while Charles (Chuck) Chritton was waiting for his friend at the Marine Corps recruiting office, he asked the recruiter if the Corps was tough. The recruiter replied it was extremely tough and in a quite dismissive tone said he didn't think Chuck could make it. Within a week, 18-year-old Chuck enlisted. The recruiter was wrong! Major Chritton proudly served 14 years in the Corps (8 years on active duty and 6 years in the reserves).

Says Chuck, "I had included other charities in my estate plans, but not the Foundation. After reading the stories of other Marines who had made legacy gifts, l was motivated to make a serious contribution to the Foundation." Chuck believes that the Foundation did a great job at the Museum telling the Marine Corps story. He thinks that every Museum visitor will feel pride in their Marine Corps and what the Corps has done and continues to do for their country.
