Meet Our Donors
Cpl Donald Campanile
Cpl Donald Campanile knew about many WWII Marine victories, and they inspired him to become a Marine. In 1954 he told his Marine buddies he wanted to enlist. To discourage him they gave him the Guidebook for Marines and warned him that boot camp was tough, but their advice fell on deaf ears.
Don wanted and needed tough—at age 17 he enlisted. Says Don, "I didn't excel in sports, but I knew I could prove myself by becoming a Marine. It is one of proudest things I've ever done, and I am a Marine through and through! I've been a Devil Dog [monthly sustainer] for 15+ years, so it makes me as proud as when I served. If you love the Corps and want to ensure that their stories live on, I encourage you to leave a legacy gift to the MCHF— Semper Fi!"
